What Are Outreach Services?
The Food Hub Outreach Services program is here to assist with street homelessness by standing beside you, getting to know you, learning to trust one another, and helping you move forward without a prescribed life improvement program commitment. Together, we work to help you find hope and confidence and stand with you as you navigate difficult situations, all in a trusting, healthy, and supportive atmosphere.
We partner with multiple agencies that provide a continuum of care that can help you get on your feet again.
Do you need guidance or support due to homelessness?
The Outreach Team can help.
Outreach Team members offer a safe and nonjudgemental place to help guide you toward more stable circumstances. They are available in Lancaster city streets and key locations like community meals and city parks every morning, Monday – Friday. You can also call 717-690-8054 to be connected with an Outreach Team member.
Where can I go for help?
The Outreach Center at 812 N. Queen Street is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 12:30 -4:00 PM. You can meet with outreach specialists, connect with partner agencies like the VA and addict specialists, find a ready-to-eat food bag or emergency clothing, and more to meet your specific needs.

Volunteer with Outreach Services
The Welcome Place runs on the generosity of volunteers. We need you!
We rely on volunteers to ensure the program runs efficiently and so unsheltered neighbors find a warm welcome.
If you have experience with the unsheltered in social work or with mental health or addiction support or treatment, we need you.
