Right before Christmas in Lancaster, PA, the weather got intensely cold – too cold for our neighbors experiencing homelessness to be safe. Together with the Lancaster County Homelessness Coalition and the Lancaster County Redevelopment Authority, we quickly pivoted and provided a pop-up shelter for those in need. Other shelters in our community were at capacity, and our mission is to care for our struggling unsheltered neighbors when we can. The generosity of the season was felt by the volunteers who donated their time and supplies donated by the community to make this space warm and safe.

We are thankful to everyone who came to support this pop-up shelter. If this is a cause on your heart to volunteer for, please reach out to be a part of providing warmth and shelter when our neighbors are struggling the most.
